Henri Lloyd and HL Jeans co launch HL Music with headline act Fenech-Soler

Innovation, Creativity and Pioneering, have all been words used to describe Henri Lloyd over the past 50 years, from Henri Lloyd being the first brand to incorporate Velcro into clothing, the development of Bri-Nylon technology as well as creating the first integrated safety harness into marine clothing. As time moved on Henri Lloyd began to develop its lifestyle clothing range, which in the 1980’s saw the über cool Milanese scooter society the “Paninari” adopt the Henri-Lloyd Consort jacket as part of their uniform. In 2007 Henri Lloyd launched the youth men’s wear label HL Jeans Co, which is now sold internationally.

2011 now sees Henri Lloyd and its younger brother HL Jeans Co join forces to launch HL Music, in association with PRS for music. Since the birth of HL Jeans Co the label has been immersed within the creative and music industry, working with artists such as the View, Two Door Cinema Club, Delphic, 1913 and this year HL Jeans Co headline sponsored the music festival Hungry Pigeon.

HL Music aims to be the newest and most credible platform for aspiring musical talent in 2011. This unique project will offer artists the opportunity to perform in front of key figures from the music, fashion and media industries. Unlike other musical showcases HL Music will go national after the first event, and will be held bi-monthly between London and Manchester locations offering acts in the North the prospect to play.

The first of these distinctive events will be held on the 25th of January at Hoxton Bar and Grill. In order to set the bench mark for up and coming talent HL Music announces the headline act space will be given to Fenech Soler. HL Music will be the bands first live performance of 2011, after wrapping up a successful tour in 2010 and starting the year as Radio 1’s Greg James record of the week.

Playing host to the event HL Music will be inviting guests to see Fenech Soler as well as the support act 1913 and a DJ set from Jeff Leech. Although the first event in London will be an invite only event HL Music are keen to allow music fans the chance to see new bands perform, this means going forward fans will be able to apply for tickets on line.
