The Shoes Release Wastin' Time

‘Wastin’ Time’ is to be the second single taken from The Shoes irresistible debut album ‘Crack My Bones’.

The Shoes aka Guillaume & Benjamin ended 2010 on a high. ‘Stay The Same’ (the first single released from the album) was received with high acclaim, huge support came from Huw Stephens, Nick Grimshaw, Rob Da Bank, Annie Mac, Nemone, John Kennedy etc… It also won 6 Music’s Rebel Playlist by a landslide 94%. They guys also came over to perform with x3 drummers at London’s historic venue The Garage and at sold out Southern Fried parties in Huddersfield and Nottingham.

‘Wastin’ Time’ sees the Reims two-piece team up with good friend Esser once again to create what is simply a beautiful and exquisitely produced number. The vocals, innocently vulnerable, catch a moment in time. As the perfected percussion drops, love, hurt and nostalgia rush you from head to toe.

Guillaume & Benjamin are from the French town of Reims (45 mins outside Paris), they met at the age of 15 and immediately gelled, falling into a love-hate affair that’s seen many a twist and turn along the way. Needless to say, a relationship that was built on a love of music, girls and being too cool for école, is still going strong.

The Shoes have just finished applying the finishing touches to what is simply a beautifully intricate and colourful debut. Filled with understated elegance and refined hooks, ‘Crack My Bones’ is a real lesson in how modern day indie-pop should be written. The LP is released 7th March.

Prior to releasing ‘Stay The Same’, Guillaume & Benjamin produced tracks for the forthcoming Shakira album that feature Dizzee Rascal and Pitbull, they also produced for French superstars Raphael (million album seller), Gaetan Roussel (platinum) and Julien Dore (platinum), whilst also having tracks synced on hit TV show Gossip Girl and the new Joel Schumacher film ‘Twelve’.
