Two Door Cinema Club Announce Biggest UK Shows To Date

As they continue their all-conquering assault of packed-out venues around the world with their US, Australian and Japanese sold out tours, Two Door Cinema Club have pledged themselves to UK audiences this summer by announcing their biggest UK shows to date in June. The band will play Bristol Academy on June 2nd and Brixton Academy on June 3rd.

The band’s upward trajectory has continued exponentially since the start of the year. Their new single ‘What You Know’ (Out Feb 7th) is A-listed at Radio 1, they have been nominated for two NME awards, shortlisted for XFM’s Best Album of the Year and ‘Tourist History’ has continued it’s climb of the charts now becoming one of the biggest selling debut albums of the last 12 months in the UK.

The band have also been making waves in the US after selling out an extensive US tour in 2000+ capacity venues, performing on hit chat shows The Jimmy Fallon Show [watch at link] and Carson Daly, plus they’ve been chosen to kick off this year’s prestigious SXSW festival in Austin, Texas with a sold out headline show.

Since releasing their debut album ‘Tourist History’ in March 2010, Two Door Cinema Club have rapidly become one of the biggest new success stories in UK music. After selling out headline tours in the UK, US, Europe, Australia, Japan and South America, playing two successive sold out nights at Shepherds Bush Empire and selling out the London Roundhouse and Dublin Olympia in 24 hours the band have deservedly earned both a devoted word-of-mouth live following and huge critical acclaim. The Times have called them “the band of the moment” and NME declared that they have “quietly become one of the UK’s best loved bands.”

New single ‘What You Know’ is released on February 7th.

Tickets for both the Bristol Academy and Brixton Academy show will go on sale from 9am on Friday 4th February at link
