Wolf Gang Releases New Single

Ahead of the upcoming tour with The Naked and Famous and SXSW performances, Wolf Gang is set to release the new single ‘Dancing With The Devil’ on 21 March through Atlantic Records. With the release of the eagerly anticipated debut album scheduled for later this year, Wolf Gang – created and fronted by multi-instrumentalist Max McElligott, is already causing quite a stir among music critics and fans alike.

This exciting, prolific and magnetising songwriter is fast becoming a must-hear sensation, receiving high-accolades from broadsheets such as The Times and The Guardian as well as making immediate inroads with Radio 1 and XFM with recent single ‘Lions In Cages’. The new single ‘Dancing With The Devil’ is yet another perfect example of Max’s extraordinary style and captivating sound.

Following the tour with The Naked And Famous, Wolf Gang will be heading out to SXSW to perform two shows – the first on Wednesday 16 March at the NME at the British Embassy and at the Neon Gold/Chess Club party on Saturday 19 March with more to be confirmed.

Wolf Gang’s debut album was recorded with producer Dave Fridmann (MGMT, Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips) and showcases just what everyone is anticipating – a ferocious pop record with an abundance of suave panache, punchy beats and heart-throttling melodies. This album is one of Fridmann’s rare collaborations with a UK artist, having heard a demo of recent single ‘Lions In Cages’ he immediately invited Max out to record the track in New York and the rest as they say, is history.

Now armed with a fifth live member, McElligott has stepped away from behind the keyboard engaging the audience with his enigmatic showmanship and as a result creates an even more electrifying show. His knack for creating a classic and colossal resonance is backed with musicians ready to fully elevate his songs.
