Dinosaur Pile-Up have been added to the line-up of this year's SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, and will perform as part of the official British Music Embassy showcase on Saturday, March 19. The showcase will form part of a handful of shows and parties the band will perform at during SXSW next month, before heading to Mexico for their first South American dates, where they have been invited to perform at the eighth birthday concert celebrations of Mexico City radio station, Ibero90.9FM.
The announcement comes as the Leeds trio prepare to hit the road across the UK for the Rock Sound Exposure Tour with Japanese Voyeurs and The Xcerts. These dates will accompany the release of their second commercial single, My Rock N Roll, out in March.
My Rock N Roll, the second single from their critically acclaimed debut album Growing Pains, will be released on March 14. It follows the singles Mona Lisa, and introductory track Birds And Planes, both of which were added to the Radio One In New Music We Trust playlist.
Dinosaur Pile-Up's debut album, Growing Pains, was released in October and recently nominated for the Xfm New Music Award, alongside releases by Everything Everything, Hurts, Delphic and Marina And the Diamonds among others.
