Breakout star Emma Stone (Superbad, Zombieland and the next Spider-Man film) shines in this critically-acclaimed, completely hilarious account of a teenage girl whose life takes a turn for the scandalous after one little white lie leads to a big scarlet “A.” Featuring a hot young cast that includes Penn Badgley (TV’s “Gossip Girl”, The Stepfather), Amanda Bynes (Hairspray, She’s The Man), Alyson Michalka (TV’s “Hellcats”) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight, The Experiment), along with hilarious supporting turns from Thomas Haden Church (Sideways, Spider-Man 3), Patricia Clarkson (Shutter Island, Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Lisa Kudrow (TV’s “Friends”, The Opposite of Sex), and Stanley Tucci (Julie & Julia, Burlesque).

Synopsis

After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne’s in “The Scarlett Letter”, which she is currently studying in school – until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.
