The original DJ heavyweight Roger Sanchez returns to the UK charts in March with his hotly tipped brand new single ‘2Gether,’ alongside new and already massive ‘electro-hop’ act Far East Movement.
Combining tribal beats and a sample of the B-52s’ classic ‘Love Shack,’ ‘2Gether’ is an electro party track which is already causing a commotion among DJs around the word. With its sensational video, featuring Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding the song is destined to march to the chart summit in spring 2011.
In its original form, ‘2Gether’ was a colossal club hit at the end of 2010, armed with a stack of remixes by Sidney Samson, EDX, Chus & Robbie Taylor, Chris Moody and Antoine Clamaran. Now, with Far East Movement, one of the world’s most in-demand acts, the track has been transformed into a pop tour-de-force.
Far East Movement, already purveyors of the top five smash ‘Like A G6’ (which also hit number one in the USA) bridge the gap between underground party records and mainstream pop music. FM blend elements of electro, dance, hip-hop and pop to create an original sound and lifestyle they dub ‘Free Wired’.
Roger Sanchez is one of the world’s most famous producer/DJs. In the 1990s he played in the biggest nightclubs in New York City, and later around the world. Along with fellow New York house DJs David Morales and Danny Tenaglia, Sanchez has become an icon of the European party scene, especially in Ibiza (where he has maintained residency every summer since 2000.) Among his worldwide hit singles is the Number One ‘Another Chance,’ one of the most enduring tracks of the last decade. He will release his new album, featuring major collaborations including 50 Cent, Taio Cruz, Danny Jones from McFly, Kaskade, Sidney Samson and Natalia Kills, in 2011.
