Smirnoff Announces Nightlife Exchange Dates

After the global success of the groundbreaking Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project, which saw the world swap nights on November 27th, The Smirnoff Co. is bringing the best of Miami’s nightlife to three UK towns for a series of unforgettable nights – the type you look back on and say ‘I was there’.

Following the extraordinary Miami event at London’s Troxy last November, experienced by more than 2,000 party-goers, The Smirnoff Co. today reveals that it is taking all the ingredients of the incredible night on tour to Edinburgh and Hatfield this March plus an additional town in May yet to be decided.

Due to an overwhelming demand from the public for The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project to come to their local towns, The Smirnoff Co. also reveals that the third and final stop of the tour is to be voted for by the public. The leading vodka brand is asking fans to rally their local friends and vote for the extraordinary event to come to their town via the Smirnoff GB Facebook page. Not only will visitors to the page be able to vote for their local venue but those with competitive spirits will be able to ‘un-vote’ rival venues, taking them down at the click of a button. There will also be exciting prizes up for grabs for those that get the most involved, including VIP tickets to the final event.

Ensuring all three events are truly unforgettable, guests can expect a live performance on the Miami Live stage from one of the hottest DJ’s of the Miami scene- Damaged Goods who will be jetting in especially for the one off shows. A true pioneer of the dance music scene, Damaged Goods has gained a reputation as one of the premier DJ’s in Miami with his residency at infamous Miami nightclub Mansion as well as regularly playing the Miami Winter Music Conference. Party goers can expect a mash up of dance floor fillers spanning the cream of Electro, House, Hip-Hop, Dub Step and Trance to create a night to remember. Fans will also be able to sample an authentic taste of Miami as they enjoy delicious Smirnoff ® Miami Mule cocktails and kick back and relax at the luxury lounge bar.
If Nikki beach is more your style, experience palm trees overhead in the main room before embracing Little Havana, notorious for Latino dancers and carnival entertainment.

The unique Miami event has been created from nightlife elements as voted for by the US public. In November 2010 these ideas were exchanged for the very best of Britain’s home-grown nightlife, as voted for by the public and curator Zane Lowe.

A community of more than 279,000 people across the country were involved and more than 6,520 people suggested what best characterises nightlife in Great Britain – from fashion trends and musical styles to locally inspired cocktails – via Facebook (facebook.com/SmirnoffGB). Once all of the suggestions were in, Zane Lowe selected the ones that best represented the nation’s vibrant and varied nightlife. These ingredients were then packed into a crate for Miami to experience when the world swapped nights in the epic finale on November 27th and the likes of Zane Lowe, Example and Jaguar Skills took to the Miami Live stage in London for an incredible night.

Please see below for a specially customised Smirnoff Mule cocktail recipe, created by mixologist Kenji Jesse to celebrate the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project (1.5 units):

Smirnoff Mule Miami
Ingredients: 25ml of Smirnoff Vodka, 20ml of coconut juice, 2 fresh wedges of lime and topped with ginger ale. Fill your glass with cubed ice before pouring in all the liquid ingredients. Squeeze your fresh lime on top and stir well to mix all the ingredients together and enjoy.

Celebrating life, every day, everywhere.
