First Place – Best Of Me
Hailing from the Bristol scene, First Place is a musical collaboration between producer OD Hunte, singer Allegra, 19 year old rapper Frenzee and tattooed frontman Yomi Davies. There new single ‘Best of Me’ is released in April is already being played on channel AKA
Inspired by World music influenced tunes (especially the last Kanye West album) First Place fuse together something positive and upbeat; with major chords, a memorable pop chorus, urban beats and an African tempo all coming together to tell a musical story’.
OD Hunte’s credentials include writing for Leona Lewis, Unkle Jam, Kay Jay, Natalia Druyts, Leela James, Javine Hylton, Byron Stingly, George McCrae and Leon Jean Marie.
Frenzee was tipped as ‘Britain’s Next Urban Music Superstar’ at the Urban Music Awards and has over 12,000 fans on twitter. He has supported Lil Chris, Tinie Tempah and Double S previously.
First Place will be touring the UK to promote the single – including also schools live shows.
‘Best of Me’ comes with remixes from Digital Dog and a great debut video which can be seen on Sky Channel AKA .
