The Three Musketeers Trailer

We have come along way since The Three Musketeers were first popularised in film. They probably reached theyr heyday in the 70’s with the back to back features including the cast of Oliver Reed, Christopher Reeve, Michael York, Charlton heston, Raquel Welch, Faye Dunnaway and Frank Finlay. Quite the classic ensemble!

Hell even the 90’s effort had an all-star cast of Charlie Sheen, Keifer Sutherland, Chris O’Donnell, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry and Michael Wincott. Perhaps not as stagey as the 70’s version, but certainley appropriate for the time.

That trend is continued here with a rather large cast including Milla Jovovich, Orlando Bloom, Christoph Waltz, Mads Mikkelsen and not one of these is playing a Musketeer! Those duties fall to Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans and Logan Lerman. Let’s see how they do under the direction of Paul W S Anderson.
