Ivyrise – Line Up The Stars

If you haven’t heard about Ivyrise yet, it would be worth heading on over to our feature we did on them. We jotted down their success as a DIY band along with their success in gaining places on the BBC Radio 1 Independent chart at numbers two and six. So, in order to achieve that global superstardom status that every ‘garageband’ aspires to achieve nowadays, how do we rate Ivyrises’ chances? Well surprisingly this is a band who definitely will get you to fancy their chances to have a healthy and promising start in 2011.

The song ‘Line Up The Stars’ is a strong first step in the band’s rise to stardom. The anthemtic single contains all the good ingredients for a song that hopes to get them on the map in no time. It’s a buzzy and a rather bold statement of intent bursting with solid chugging guitar riffs and skyscraping melodies that are meant to be heard by all. The single is a powerful first serve of what we can expect to see from them here in 2011, and with an album due for a release in the summer of this year, this confident bunch will definelty be up there in one of the bands to watch and it won’t surprise me if ‘Line Up The Stars’ will be blasting out of one of your pal’s iPods in the future.
