Rumours are rife that legendary California group the Red Hot Chilli Peppers have in fact completed tracking their follow-up to their 2006 release Stadium Arcadium, and are now in the mixing process working towards a release this year – according to Studio Spy.
Danny McNamara, the lead singer of Embrace, has been telling the NME about the progress of their forthcoming album, too: “We’re about three quarters of the way through the writing process, We’ve got eight really killer songs. I want to get to 12 or 15 before we start recording. Musically it’s more inventive than what we’ve done before. We’re champing at the bit to get back.”
Meanwhile, The Shins are set to follow up their first live shows after their prolonged hiatus with a new album this year, according to gibson.com.
