Well folks, that time of the year is (almost) beyond us. We're all sat stodgily on our sofas watching Bond, chocolate oozing out of every orifice. And if you haven't (by some Easter miracle) managed to slip yourself into a cocoa-comatose state, there's loads of great releases for you this week.
Nothing says “Spring is here!” like a Morrissey greatest hits album [sic], and he's released one today for you all. Very Best Of Morrissey includes a bonus DVD with eleven (count them) promo videos, three of which were previously unavailable outside the US on DVD. In all seriousness, despite me being more of a 'Smith's fan than Morrissey; I really want this. The man himself has chosen a selection of rare/unseen photographs by Jake Walters, Kevin Cummins, Linder Sterline & Perou and Renaud Monfourny to accompany the album artwork.
Other albums worth mentioning this week include Bruce “The Bruce” Springsteen's Live At The Main Point 1975, Rolo Tomassi's Eternal Youth and The Wombats' This Modern Glitch – the latter of the three being my tip to rival Adele's 21, which unceremoniously clattered the Foo Fighters' Wasting Light off the top spot yesterday.
Coming up on glasswerk.co.uk this week; loads of news, loads of videos – including some awesome Beastie Boys visuals with a bit of luck, and a shedload of album reviews of some of the best forthcoming releases. You might have to bring your own shed.
