My Chemical Romance Vs Glenn Beck

A war of words has emerged between My Chemical Romance and US Broadcaster Glenn Beck over their single “Sing” (video above).

Beck talked about the song on Fox News last week (link) and advised parents to ban their children from listening, labelling it as “propaganda”.

Gerard Way, frontman of My Chemical Romance has hit back today, saying: “I think the word Glenn Beck was looking for was 'subversion' not 'propaganda', because I don't know what it would be considered propaganda for – truth? Sentiment?

“And I can't tell what he's angrier about – the fact that it's how I feel about the persistent sterilisation of our culture or the fact that it's on network television for anyone to hear.”

I have a feeling that we haven't heard the last of this. Beck is notorious stateside for, well, his mouth – and I for one have a feeling that he won't let this lie. It's juicy, isn't it?
