Communion was founded by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons fame, former Cherbourg bassist Kevin Jones and acclaimed producer Ian Grimble. Communion was born in 2006, an evening initially designed to provide an independent platform for the freshest talents on the London circuit which introduced both Laura Marling and Example.
Since its humble London beginnings Communion has branched out across the UK and internationally as far and wide as New York and Sydney. Taking the blueprint of what has made Communion work so well Communion Records was founded in September 2009, priding themselves with working and cultivating a family of artists featuring Rachel Sermanni, Mumford & Sons and Johnny Flynn.
