Sam Brookes has had a year to remember. From playing shows in bars, clubs and community centres, he's also played gigs with Scott Matthews and Cherry Ghost – as well as touring with Ray Davies (who described him as “absolutely amazing”).
He's become somewhat of an impresario in the London folk scene, curating a fortnightly club night called “The Unplugged Sessions” in the pub where he lives and works. July 2011 sees the release of Sam's debut album, produced by Chris Hughes (Tears For Fears, Robert Plant, Paul McCartney).
