Biffy Clyro To Be Honoured As 'Best British Band'

The music charity Nordoff Robbins – whose aim is to transform the lives of vulnerable people all over the UK – are to bestow the title of 'Best British Band' on Biffy Clyro at the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards 2011.

The event takes place on Friday July 1st 2011 at the London Hilton. Other winners at the awards have been confirmed as Annie Lennox (O2 Silver Clef Award), Tinie Tempah (TAG Design & Interactive: Best Newcomer award), Status Quo (Lifetime Achievement Award) and Alfie Boe (PPL Classical Award). More award winners are to be announced soon.

Biffy Clyro commented: “We follow in the footsteps of some great bands who’ve received this award and we couldn’t be happier with this honour.
 
“Music has been a massive part of our lives – just like it is for all the people Nordoff Robbins help.”
