Is Britain's Got Talent Rigged?

Britain's Got Talent has become a huge TV spectacular since its introduction to the masses back in 2007. Based loosely on the X-Factor/Pop Idol model, it's marketed as a huge talent contest, with talented Britons battling it out to win the £100,000 prize and the certain stardom that follows.

In the past 24 hours however, a rather unnerving statement has surfaced on the internet. I'm not for a second authenticating it as genuine – in theory, it's incredibly plausible anyone savvy with words could polish something like this off in an hour and have it gather interest the way this statement is currently.

The statement allegedly comes from an anonymous Sony Music UK executive, and – whether it's authentic or not – talks of the efforts that SYCO (Simon Cowell's production company) have allegedly made to groom Ronan Parke – a 12 year old contestant on the current series of Britain's Got Talent – into the eventual victor of the series.

I feel the need to again stress one last time that glasswerk.co.uk does not – in any way, shape or form – make these allegations against Britain's Got Talent or its producers FreemantleMedia, Talkback Thames or SYCOtv.

The link to the statement can be found by following this link. The views and allegations made in the linked statement are not echoed by glasswerk.co.uk.
