Wickerman line-up announcement

Well, The Wickerman team have announced the full line-up for this summer’s festival. Summer stalwarts The Coral will be appearing and so will the impressive Glasgow band GUN. And if that was not enough to impress you, there are even more audio delights in the shape of David Dunne, Crowns, Jericho Hill, Feeder, Echo & The Bunnymen, Noisettes, The Dammed, From The Jam not to mention a cameo appearance from Coronation Street’s John Stape aka Graeme Hawley who will be doing a DJ set with Funkademia.

The Coral are a long established band who has had a string of UK single and album chart hits will be headlining on the Summerilse Stage for the Saturday. Given they are at their best, it is likely they will be sending people away with joyful memories.

There are regulars to the festival too. The Axis Soundsystem are back again and Funkademia return to allow for the pagan rituals to begin on the new “The Landlord’s Daughter Stage” which is in the same vain as the Green Man Inn in the festival’s namesake film.

EventScotland has once more shown its commitment to supporting Wickerman by awarding a substantial grant under the International Events Programme. The grant will be used to promote the festival in the North of England and Northern Ireland.

Taking place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July at East Kirkcarswell Farm in Dumfries & Galloway, the tenth festival will feature ten stages including the Summerisle Stage, Scooter Tent, The Acoustic Village, Axis Sound System Reggae Tent, Bass Camp, Greenman Inn, Headphone Arena, Ho Down Wendy House, Solus and for the first time the goNORTH Festival Tour Stage.
