Market crashes & global recession; Inside Job tells the tale of the Financial Crisis of 2007-2010.
The film charts deregulation from the Reagan era up to date. The US administration also comes under scrutiny, pointing out the people that were there when the problems began that are still in the same if not similar posts today.
With documentaries like this – it is almost shocking that so many agree to be interviewed (although I suspect so many more decline as are stated in this film). So many interviewees come under tough scrutiny, and in the case of a couple of the interviewees it becomes evident that they are a little beyond uncomfortable with what is being stated.
Matt Damon does a good job on the narration never distracting from the subject as it is a compelling narrative. And yet it is also a worry as there isn’t much of a happy ending for us the consumer. Inside Job then works best then to out some of the issues out there and to raise awareness, and it does it with a wealth of information presented here.
If you want to be aware of the world today and keep historic prosperity then this documentary should not be missed.
