Freewheeling, independently released, rolling guitar riff spurted rock with a punk edge, isn’t a bad set of ingredients for a debut single, ‘Remission’. This Jersey formed trio uses the Pete Shelley splattered vocal touch of Dukey, who doubles up as the bassist, to provide a snazzy, slightly intoxicated slant.
Tongue-in-cheek lyrics are pushed around like sprouts on a kid’s plate:
“If love was a train ours would be Amtrack…
If love was a car ours would be a Sinclair.”
Grinding freshness that is captivating captures a rawness that a number of wannabe contemporary bands, only think they manage to achieve.
