Trinity hunt down UK rights for Sean Penn’s THIS MUST BE THE PLACE

Paolo Sorrentino’s compelling road movie, starring Sean Penn is set for a UK theatrical release courtesy of UK indie distributor Trinity.

Trinity acquired all UK rights from Pathe International and it will be released in cinemas nationwide in early 2012. In competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Penn plays a retired rock star on a quest to find his father’s ex-Nazi tormentor,

Robin Grbich, co-director of Trinity, said today: “We’re proud to have
acquired such a distinct and unique film. It was impossible for us to resist the combination of Sean Penn’s incredible performance and the flair and authority with which Paolo Sorrentino directs”.

Trinity have a prestigious slate of titles due for release this year
including Oscar-nominated Incendices, directed by Denis Villeneuve,
which will hit cinemas on June 24; Beautiful Lies, starring Audrey
Tautou as the mischievous owner of a hair salon in the South of
France, is due for release on August 19 and Philip Seymour Hoffman’s
