The publishers of Starburst Magazine have decided to open up The Vault, and begin to randomly make available the entirety of it’s back Issue Archive, FREE to registered readers.
Created in January 1978 and spanning 365 Issues over 34 years, STARBURST Magazine has a rich heritage. It is the longest running Sci-Fi, Horror, and Fantasy mag in the UK.
We have decided to digitally restore and repair EVERY Issue, and release one every few weeks from the Mighty Vault.
This is your chance to read the original reviews of iconic movies, and see if they were always held in such high esteem. Early Features, and Interviews from the past 34 years of TV and Movie history, also make for fascinating reading.
We have just released Issue number 3 from May 1978. Your chance to read the first UK review of Spielberg’s Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Read about the new TV series Galactia. Read the debate over whether Star Trek could ever be made into a film. All this and a free colour poster of Christopher Reeves in his sexy new Superman outfit.
The Vault will open many times during the next year, and each time will bring you a piece of Starburst history for you to read and collect. You can own them all!
Filmwerk would not have it’s current editor today had it not been for Starburst Magazine having such an impact on him as a young teenager. So while it may seem odd to spread the word about competitors – we quite frankly think credit should go where it is due.
