It just wouldn't be right for a week to go by without something awful happening regarding Amy Winehouse. It seems she's stuck in a perpetual cycle of self-destruction, egging herself on to see just how far she can push her luck with her record-buying, bender-funding public.
A video (above) recorded by a fan at Winehouse's Belgrade show on the 18th shows the state she was in, with the BBC reporting that at one point she threw her microphone to the floor. Fans paid around £40 to see the show, and were understandably not best pleased – booing and jeering Winehouse.
Noel Gallagher got married on Saturday (June 18th) to his long-term girlfriend Sara MacDonald, reportedly at a luxury hotel in Hampshire. Liam wasn't there, due to 'touring commitments' with his new band Beady Eye. Noel was quoted earlier this month as saying: “He is my brother. He is a tit but he’s my brother so I guess he should be there. Yeah, I would want him there. Family is family on days like that and it would make a lot of people happy. But he’ll always be a complete t**t.” I can't believe for a second that the wedding was a crazier place without Liam's attendance. Probably for the best.
Sad news this weekend – Bruce Springsteen's long-time friend and saxophonist Clarence Clemons died late on Saturday after suffering from a stroke, aged 69.
On Springsteen's website, he paid tribute to Clemons: “Clarence lived a wonderful life. He carried within him a love of people that made them love him. He loved the saxophone, loved our fans and gave everything he had every night.”
