British Talent Launches Download In Aid Of Afghan Welsh Guards

Rising vocal talent Lydia Baylis is to release her debut physical single “Starman” on August 1st.

However, the track is available to download right now from Lydia's website (link), as part of a fundraising campaign for the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal – a sincere hand of support from an artist personally affected by the tragedy of war.

Written in homage to one of her greatest musical influences, David Bowie – “Starman” is a bespoke track that instantly lets you know why Baylis has recently been compared to the likes of Dido, Carly Simon and Marianne Faithful.

Lydia’s father and uncle both served in the Welsh Guards during the Falklands War and were both on the Sir Galahad, where her Uncle Hilarion was badly burned – another reason why the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal is very close to her heart. Voluntary donations made from her new download release will go to the Appeal, so that injured soldiers and their families can receive vital support on the home return from service.
