Simple Plan have been soaring after the huge success of their 3rd self-titled, studio album – and if you’re still not totally hooked on the Canadian quintet, then their new eagerly awaited 4th album, ‘Get Your Heart On’ will have you raving in no time at all.
‘Get Your Heart On’ has a huge buzz around it after a stream of the video of the lead single ‘Can’t Keep My Hands Off You’ was uploaded to YouTube. In true Simple Plan style, the track has struck a perfect balance between edgy punk rifts and modern pop energies, a theme that is evident through most of the album, and with 90,000 hits already on YouTube, ‘Get Your Heart On’ is set to be one of the year’s big sellers. ‘Can’t Keep My Hands Off You’ is set for release on the 6th June.
Tracks such as ‘Freaking Me Out’, ‘You Suck At Love’ and ‘Jet Lag’ also demonstrate pop punk at its truest in the album and – with help from Natasha Bedingfield, K’Naan and Alex Gaskarth – Simple Plan have done what they do best and made a real, fun, uplifting album that could get the most miserable of people on their feet and rocking out and then gagging for more.
‘Get Your Heart On’ not only has high-tempo tracks, but also some slower, more chilled tones. ‘Astronaut’ is a slower track that still has the pop punk influences in there just to remind you who’s singing it. All together, Simple Plan have done themselves proud with this new release.
‘Get Your Heart On’ is released June 20th.
