Music Crowns – Britain’s fastest growing unsigned music awards – is extremely proud and excited to announce the FIRST EVER Music Crown Festival, taking place on the first weekend in August (6th-7th), at the sumptuous surrounds of Weald Country Park, Essex…the only way to celebrate real music this summer.

The Music Crowns Festival is a celebration and rare fusion of unsigned music, signed music, rock, pop, RnB, hip-hop, dance, dubstep and jazz, which is all set to come together in a high-five inducing, glorious August weekend.

With that in mind we have delicately curated a wonderfully eclectic mix of music and styles, fabulously supplemented with big name-musical pedigree, coming in the form of; SKEPTA, STACEY SOLOMON, THE RIFLES, THE MILK, TOPLOADER, MUTYA BUENA, MCLEAN and BRANDON BLOCK with many, many more unhatched and unsigned gems to be unveiled and showcased throughout the weekend.

First and foremost Music Crowns is an unsigned awards ceremony, which prides itself on providing a much needed platform for fledgling unsigned acts. Throughout the festival, 30 acts from pop, rock and urban (10 from each category) will get to chance to play at the Music Crowns Festival in front of what will most probably be their biggest crowd to date, alongside tried and tested talent, in a master meets the apprentice style scenario.

On hand to judge, critique and ultimately select the final line-up for the Music Crowns Festival is a judging panel comprising of first class musical talent, well known music commentators/broadcasters and industry professionals for each individual pop, rock and urban genre. Some of the judges include: Skin (Skunk Anansie), Samantha Mumba, Adam Ficek (Babyshambles), Ras Kwame (Radio 1XTRA presenter), Lisa I’Anson (Former TOTP presenter), Jamal 'Smokey Barz' Edwards (SBTV Owner – the UK's leading Youth Broadcaster).

Following the Music Crown Festival performance, the 30 lucky acts will then have to vie for the general public’s affection and votes as they seek to ultimately be crowned the winner of their chosen genre at the 2011 Music Crown Awards in London. The winners on the night will receive a 12-18 month management contract, 1k website and social media assistance.

At the end of each day an Exclusive Afterparty will take place at Eclipse Nightclub in Brentwood. Only VIP holders will be granted access to party into the small hours with the stars of the festival.
