Listen Now: Snippet Of Brian Fallon's New Project The Horrible Crowes

The Horrible Crows have released details of their much anticipated album – due for a September 5th release via SideOneDummy Records.

Entitled Elsie, the record is to feature twelve tracks – including “Black Betty & the Moon” – a sample of which can be heard above.

The album has been described by front man Brian Fallon – who teams up with long-time friend Ian Perkins for the project – as an “experimentation with the darker side of soul music.”

Fallon elaborates: “The two of us had this ritual where we’d go into the back of the bus at the end of the show and just start showing each other records like PJ Harvey, Afghan Whigs and Joan As Police Woman. One day we were just like, ‘let’s write some songs and see what they sound like’ and it turned out that it sounded great.”
