Dionne Bromfield And Tinchy Styder Pen Olympic Torch Relay Song
Dionne Bromfield and Tinchy Stryder have teamed up to record an official Olympic Torch Relay song.
Entitled “Spinnin' For 2012”, the lyrics were originally written and recorded by Speech Debelle – but have been re-written by Tinchy and Dionne to produce an uplifting, summer track.
The song is to provide soundtrack to what will be an epic 8,000 mile journey over 70 days which aims to take the Olympic Flame within one hour's journey of 95% of the UK population. The music and lyrics – already used as the soundtrack to the London 2012 Torchbearer nomination film, look forward to the summer of 2012.
This is the first time that the two artists have recorded together, with each riding high in their respective solo careers. Bromfield releases her new album Good For The Soul on July 4th, while Stryder is currently riding high in the charts with “Spaceship” – a track that sees him collaborate with N-Dubz's Dappy.
