Lindi Ortega - Little Lie
Album Review

Lindi Ortega – Little Lie

Old fashion folk and country & western are given a vibrant alt.country tilt by the quaint Canadian Lindi Ortega, with her debut single, ‘Little Lie’. Honesty and a lovelorn lag is twisted together over some hovering choral backing, sending out a message about not taking things at face value where affairs of the heart are concerned.

A twining guitar push and hollow percussion provides for a wandering backdrop, complementing the searching honesty on display. There’s an intriguing range of influences on show, enough to build up the intrigue in Ortega, as her career builds.

Rating: 3.5/5
