Formed by a group of old high school friends, Big Troubles have a vast history of pop and indie rock from which to draw upon.
Led by two singer/songwriters by the names of Alex Craig and Ian Drenman – they are a rare, two-headed beast; a band with two distinctive musical voices that combine to great effect.
Early recordings by the pair were of the lo-fi, home-recorded variety. Time has seen them grow both in stature and numbers, with the recruitment of drummer Sam Franklin and bassist Luka Usmiani into a full four piece band.
Their first album – 2010's Worry – and its singles were excellent fuzz pop releases in their own right, however the band has recruited the help of legendary Mitch Easter this time around, whose ream includes the likes of REM, Pavement and his own Let's Active.
Romantic Comedy is the result – and what a result it is. Positively brimming with potential singles, you can download the lucky first track to be chosen for release above right now.
