July 18: MSD's New Releases Roundup

Has anyone seen my ark?

What a wonderfully horribly rainy day it is here in Liverpool – and everywhere else, I'm assured. Excellent excuse to hibernate in your abode with a hoard of new music. Let's peruse what's out this week.

Ronnie Vanucci – one of life's cool drummers and member of The Killers – releases his self-titled debut album today from his side project Big Talk this week. It's electronic, it's funky, it's pretty darned good. Listen to track “Getaways” now by following this link.

LMFAO release their album Sorry For Party Rocking this week too, which features that song you love to hate to dance to “Party Rock Anthem”. It's an album full of completely serious song titles – including personal favourite “Put That A$$ To Work”. You can listen to an album sampler of Sorry For Party Rocking by following this link.

It's a pretty good week for new rock & metal too, with new albums from 3 Doors Down, Decapitated, Malefice and Suicide Silence all being released today. Opeth announced details of a UK tour this morning, too – a good day today for all things metal.

Singles of note released today include Taio Cruz's new single “Troublemaker”, Wolf Gang's “The King And All Of His Men” and Lady Gaga's new single “The Edge Of Glory”.

Up on glasswerk.co.uk this week is all the new music, streams, free tracks, videos, reviews and opinion you've come to expect. Have a good week!
