“Biography: 
During an ill-fated mission for the ‘Neo Luddites’ Techno Research Dept, to the centre of the Earth 5 years ago, the Captain disappeared completely. Nothing but random, rhythmic electronic noise was transmitted from his underwater cruiser back to T.R.D headquarters. Earlier this year he was found unconscious, in a submarine in the Albert Dock Liverpool, Captain Johnson awoke with no recollection of what had happened but found strange markings on his body, that made up a map to the Black Hole of Atlantis. This led him back into murky depths of the sea where he has been missing again for sometime but constantly communicating via Super Sonic patterns back to base….. Keep an ear out for his latest Techno transmissions!!!!

Glasswerk.co.uk wanted to catch up with Liverpool DJ/producer Captain Johnson. Here we go…

Q: An alien lands on earth.  He doesn't really know much about bands/artists and that – as he's an alien.  How would you describe you and your music to said alien?
…….Considering I am currently flitting between….. portals in an out of Atlantis…..it depends if the Alien can find me…..but let's say he caught me in a snag for now……..I would describe myself as a  random visionary amongst fish men….my sounds are mere sonic interpretations of my experiences in an out of the water, good and bad. In short banging techno…/ electro..!! + 9 quintals of romance……….

Q: It's 2011, the year of the rabbit.  What's been your highlight of the year so far?  It doesn't have to be anything to do with rabbits.
Rebuilding/modifying my live frequency performance weapon….APC40. It will be unveiled at my next performance……my up and coming releases are also ….moving in a positive 2011 wave ……..

FYI……..Atlantis rabbits taste like …bad sea cavities.

Q: God calls you up, and he's wanting to put on a show.  Being God and all – he doesn't really have time to choose bands, DJs or a venue.  He's put you in full control.  Also – again, him being God and all – you can choose anyone alive or dead – he's that good.  Who's playing and where?
I'm not familiar with God fish!…What do they look like?…….resurrect the dead…….???/ …….I would put a show on in ……the Pantheon….The Beatles (White Album Live)…..followed by …Beastie Boys…….then…….Prince…….Drexciya (7 Storms Live)…erm…..Me (Live)……Surgeon…….DJ Rush…….ummmm……………………..Eno and Bowie doing backwards jazz for rest of the dawn……!!

Q: What bands/artists are there around at the moment that people aren't listening to enough?  Any tips for future stardom?

Q: What's the rest of 2011 – it's the year of the rabbit, don't you know – got in store for you?
I have my….. second E.P frequencies coming out through 'Recode Recordings' very soon on BeatPort initially….entitled 'Penis(Extended)'……more original and remix tracks for 'Incense Records'……..some collaboration work with the infamous rapping scouse dweller 'O'Shea'……I will be transmitting a 90min set on Brazil's …….ultimate techno radio show 'Vector Radio' this November…..Live performances will feature more over this year……as I try to get my point across…..to all the nations……my next appearance will be in London at a 'Recode' launch night….keep your ears open…….
