FrightFest John Carpenter Special

Something of an exclusive.  FrightFest this year are putting together a series of special videos to screen at the festival this year.

Directors Ben Wheatley (whose Kill List is having its UK premiere there), Jake West, Sean Hogan (whose The Devil’s Business is having it’s world premiere) and Marc Price have been out shooting short pieces based on the works of John carpenter. There is a potential fifth film as well, but we’ll have to wait and see if that crops up when the festival comes round.

What? You want more details? Ok – Wheatley is doing a take on Assault on Precinct 13, which three out of the four FrightFest management are appearing in! West has John Carpenter’s Escape From New York Covered (Which will feature the fourth member of the management in a prime role). Sean Hogan has done The Thing Marc price is doing They Live.

We have been told that the directors will be taking these films in various directions and will screen one per day at the festival. You can read alkl about it in the brichure which is out now!

Oh and before we forget, John Carpenter himself has recorded an introduction for the festival as well!

You can see what the guys have to say about spilling the beans on this in the interview that will run next week!
