Despite having already toured extensively throughout the world in support of their well-received Red Bark Tree release during the first half of this year, Wire's line-up of Colin Newman, Graham Lewis and Robert Grey are to embark on their second UK tour of the year.
Twice as long and covering towns and cities the band have not performed in since their halcyon days in the 70's, the tour – due this November – will have Wire see out 2011 with a flourish.
To accompany the tour, Wire's label Pinkflag are to release a live album, recorded at a prestigious show from earlier in the year. Available initially exclusively on tour, the release will only be sent to shops once the tour has finished.
Wire kick off their November tour on the 15th in Birmingham and call in on Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Brighton, London, Liverpool, Dublin, Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff and Oxford, before rounding things off on December 3rd in Sheffield.
