High Places are all set to release their third full-length Original Colors on November 7th through Thrill Jockey.
Ten tracks of driving bass, syncopated rhythms and Mary's mezzo-soprano vocals were recorded in the band's home studios in Los Angeles. Rob Barber and Mary Pearson who make up High Places have together traveled extensively and performed in a multitude of environments – the Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan and an industrial warehouse in Chile are just two of the slightly left-field settings for High Places performances.
To celebrate the forthcoming album, the pair are giving away track “Year Off” absolutely free. Grab it now via the Soundcloud embed above.
High Places have plans for a UK/EU tour this coming winter, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.
