I Am The Avalanche Sign To New Label, Second Album Announced
Xtra Mile Recordings have announced that I Am The Avalanche has joined the label and are to release long-awaited new album Avalanche United this autumn.
The Brooklyn-based quintet join a roster already bulging with talent; with Frank Turner, Crazy Arm, Jim Ward and Against Me! already in the Xtra Mile ranks.
Frontman Vinnie Caruana coments: “We are extremely excited to be working with Xtra Mile on the release of Avalanche United. It’s an honour to be part of a label and roster with such integrity and style. Cheers to the future!”
After forming in 2004 and releasing their debut soon after in 2005, it's been six years now since I Am The Avalanche have released a full-length record – the band opting to return to their DIY roots and self-manage themselves in order to focus on writing.
The band are due in the UK later in the year for a run of shows – more information is expected in the coming weeks.
