London’s premier Rock 'n' Roll night, THIS FEELING, is proud to announce its spectacular 5th birthday party…
The hugely popular club night has fast built a reputation as London's place to be – the likes Kasabian, Noel Gallagher, Noel Fielding, Miles Kane, Adam Ant, Stephen Graham, Arctic Monkeys and many many more regularly take to the stage or prop up the bar over the past 5 years- and is the place to be to witness live shows from the best new bands in the land as well as the biggest bands of our times. …
So what better way to celebrate their glorious 5th Anniversary than with a greatest hits set from the poet of people and king of Madchester – Shaun Ryder and some magical mayhem from Dyanamo.
The legendary Happy Mondays and Black Grape front man is all set for an historic show at The Queen of Hoxton on Friday October 14th, ready to cement a place in the TF Hall of Fame with an iconic set of classic hits, including ‘Step On’, ‘In The Name Of The Father’, ‘Kinky Affro’, ‘Reverend Black Grape’, ‘24 Hour Party People’, ‘Kelly’s Heroes’
The show is a warm up for Shaun's Up Close and Personal UK tour which kicks off in November (support comes from Shaun's favourite new band Dixie) and comes at a time with his popularity higher than ever; Shaun is currently sitting at the top of a rather different chart – the book charts -with his superb autobiography “Twisting My Melon”.
Support comes from The Rainband, a group who major players on the Manchester music scene, past and present agree – including Johnny Marr , Peter Hook and members of Doves – are going places.
