New Single From Caro Emerald

Lots of news coming from Caro Emerald today! First up, ‘Stuck’, her new single will be released on 5th December 2011. Secondly, ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor – Platinum Edition’ will be released on 7th November and finally, she will be performing on Strictly Come Dancing on 23rd October!

Swinging, stylish pop superstar Caro Emerald will bring to a close a staggeringly successful year with her new single ‘Stuck’, a high-tempo, exuberant pop number that possesses charm and wit in abundance.

A record-breaking star in her Dutch homeland, in 2011 Caro’s debut album ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ has resonated with audiences all over Europe. On these shores it is certified gold and became the sleeper hit of the summer, scoring 10 weeks in the Top 10 Album Chart and peaking at number 4. In November the album will be reissued as a CD/DVD double pack, featuring a triumphant live concert recorded at Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall.

2011 has delivered a succession of highlights for the singer whose chic image and effortless marriage of 50’s inspired salsa, samba and jazz with a contemporary pop vigour marks her out as a true original. Her whip-smart, assertive lyrics and breezy vocals ensure that Caro holds it all together with consummate ease.

All of her singles to date – ‘Back It Up’, ‘Riviera Life’, ‘A Night Like This’, ‘The Other Woman’ and ‘That Man’ – have found themselves on the A-list at Radio 2 and in heavy rotation at radio stations across the country, while Caro has appeared live on the likes of This Morning, BBC Breakfast and Lorraine.

Caro’s forthcoming, highly anticipated show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire has now sold out, matching her first UK live show at the Jazz Café, which saw all tickets snapped up before it was officially announced. With an additional appearance at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park and a performance on Strictly Come Dancing under her belt, Caro is itching to get back on stage.
