The 10:04's were born and broke onto the Edinburgh music scene in 2009, quickly establishing themselves as one of the capital's finest live bands. Delivering indie-punk anthems, a mottle of complementary genres influence their sound; a heavy dose of punk, the cream of indie, and an edge of 60's Britpop ripple through their rasping tunes.
Influence in their sound range from 70s punk bands The Buzzcocks, The Clash and Joy Division to modern bands such as The Cribs, The National, The Maccabees, The Horrors and The Strokes.
A four-piece band made up of Steven Bolton (guitar and vocals), Danny Scrimshaw (guitar and vocals), Paul Haddow (drums, backing vocals) and John Tracey (bass, backing vocals), their biggest Edinburgh shows to date saw them bring in a crowd of over 1000+ TWICE for their gigs at The HMV Picture House. They also played to 2500 people at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall.
Their UK tours in the last year have seen them support Razorlight, The View, Idlewild, Ash, The Twang, British Sea Power, Twisted Wheel, Delays, Dogs, The Undertones, The Proclaimers, The Dykeenies , White Rose Movement, Frankie and The Heartstrings etc.
In April 2011 The 10:04’s were main support to Razorlight for Johnny Borrell and co’s first comeback gig after 3 years away.
The 10:04’s debut single is set for release Feb 6th 2012 after recording it in Glasgow with Tony Doogan (Dirty Pretty Things, Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai, Paddingtons, Young Knives, Super Furry Animals, Teenage Fanclub) on production.
After enjoying a busy festival circuit in 2011, which saw the boys take in their first European Festival dates as well as the UK circuit, a big 2012 awaits. Starting off with a 14 date UK Single Tour at the start of Feb ’12.
