Rebel Territory Release Debut Single

Rebel Territory’s debut ‘double A’ single Falling For You / On The Rock’n’Roll will be released on 14 February.

The band’s swagger and blistering live set has already seen them offered support opportunities with the likes of The Mystery Jets, The Kooks, Tribes, Tinchy Stryder, Los Campesinos, Viva Brother and Professor Green, as well as Britpop faves The Bluetones on their final round of live performances.

Leading a new wave of guitar bands coming through the media, reaction to Rebel Territory’s debut was a unanimous tide of critical acclaim. Indie London described the band as “foot stompin’ no nonsense”, while Total Biker said “…shows the mass potential Rebel Territory have”. The video to the debut single was directed by The Mighty Boosh collaborator Gerard Giorgi-Coll and was instantly featured on the NME website within minutes of the video being delivered. The video also featured on The Best of Youtube page in October.

The media love for the band also spread to the UK radio airwaves around the country, resulting in the band being added to playlists on Q Radio and NME radio. Other radio backing the band are too numerous to mention but enthusiastic supporters include the likes of BFBS, Pure FM, Skyline FM, EKR Radio, Spark FM, BCB, Recharged Radio, Hermitage FM, GTFM as well as a wide array of regional shows including Preston FM, who added the single to their A playlist for rotation. The single was also added by Rotation Media to their worldwide new music shows, helping to expand the band’s global following even further.

They impress wherever they go, whether it was the late Amy Winehouse coming to see them or football manager Nigel Clough, who asked to meet them after they played Derby ’s Pride Park Stadium. Their flamboyance onstage led to live footage being featured in a Harley Davidson documentary illustrating music’s power to enthral and entertain.

The debut ‘double A’ single was mixed by Carl Rosamond (The Pierces, The Wedding Present, Cud) and mastered by the legendary Jon Astley (The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin).
