Last night’s Grammy ceremony was overshadowed by the death of Whitney Houston.
The six time winner was found in her Beverly Hills hotel just days before the event and it appears that her chaotic lifestyle had caught up with the star. And star she was. Possessing a great singing voice, Houston was one of the biggest selling female artists ever and leaves a legacy of hit records behind her.
Rest in peace, Whitney.
Looking forward, we have the usual selection of new releases this week. Blink 182 and Snow Patrol will be looking to make the charts with new singles, although I think a few older songs from Ms Houston will be selling too.
There are a lot of albums out too, and we have reviews of Phantom Limb’s excellent second album ‘The Pines’ and also ‘Haight-Ashbury 2: The Ashburys’, another fine album, already up on the site for you.
As always, stay with us at Glasswerk.co.uk for all your music reviews and news.
