Tommy Fleming UK Tour

Ireland’s best kept secret comes to the UK this spring as multi-platinum selling singer
Tommy Fleming opens his tour at Colston Hall Bristol on 10 March followed by a national tour.

Tommy brings his own beautiful interpretation of classic and contemporary songs such as Bridge Over Troubled Water, The Isle of Innisfree, Something Inside So Strong, “the best version of Danny Boy – bar none” (Eric Clapton), and many others you know and love. His recording and performing credentials speak for themselves; he has several platinum and multi-platinum albums to his name and has already brought his beautiful, haunting voice to audiences around the world, performing in prestigious venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall.

Celebrating his 20th Anniversary in the music industry Tommy Fleming has many times been described as the “Voice of Ireland” and is one of Ireland’s top entertainers.

From a musical family, Tommy was born and raised on a farm where one of his jobs was to help milk the cows. Aged 6, Tommy claims he trained in the cow shed – the acoustics were brilliant and the milking machine was in e minor!

While still at school his first rock band was born and he began a life of ”gigging” in local clubs and pubs, a chance encounter with Phil Coulter lead to a big break onto the world stage where Tommy appeared as a guest singer on Phil’s USA tour.

Upon returning to Ireland, Fleming was offered the vacant vocalist position with folk luminaries De Danann, a demanding position previously occupied by Dolores Keane, Mary Black, and Johnny Moynihan. He performed with the band for three years.

Shortly after securing a solo record deal everything looked set to flourish when a near fatal car accident left the singer with a broken neck leaving his music career on-hold indefinitely. After many months of convalescents, Tommy took time out to spend three months in famine-stricken Sudan, working with the relief charity GOAL as a field operative administering medicine and giving food to children, giving Tommy time to re-evaluate his career.

Tommy returned to the stage having had to start over and is now regarded as one of the finest singers worldwide and is currently enjoying a hugely successful career spanning the last 20 years.

A Tommy Fleming concert is a musical experience not to be missed with one song more haunting than the other. He has a universal appeal to all ages and backgrounds with a fan base that is growing stronger worldwide year by year.

The 20th anniversary album “The Platinum Collection” was released on the 21st of October 2011.
