LEGO Naboo Starfighter & Naboo Review

Naboo Starfighter & Naboo

Pieces: 56

Ages: 6-12

Mini Figures: 1

  • Naboo pilot

Price: £9.99

What’s Inside

One instruction manual.

1 Naboo Globe containing pieces

2 bags of Lego for each build stage.

Background

Star Wars. Naboo is home to Queen Amidala from Episode 1 of the franchise. It is also the most Earthy looking of most of the planets featured in the Star Wars franchise. This set features the type of fighters that were resident to that world and under the Queen’s guard.

Building

Ok so this is more a lunch time/ coffee break type of put it together model. At a rush I did it in 10 minutes. Obviously putting the figure together is a snap along with the display base. The more complicated part is the miniature ship which is a healthy reminder of how much fun the Star Wars Advent Calendar was at Christmas time. But obviously this has more and larger parts. But you’ll have it put together in no time.

Finished Product

It does look like a kinda cool series that LEGO could continue. You get three things all relevant to each other. The planet; a ship, and the distinctive pilot of that ship. The display stand is very cool with a printed plaque and would look good on any stand or work desk.

The bad news is the price. At under 60 pieces of LEGO you are looking at a cost of 20p per piece which is one of the priciest you will find. But then again considering you do get a large dome and how compact it all is, it is perhaps worth the £10 asking price considering what it is worth and its potential collectable value. So whilst it is pricey for the value per piece, I wouldn’t have an issue dropping a tenner out of my pocket to pick up another one of the series should I be in the LEGO store passing the displays.
