Having had their recently announced two shows at London’s Hoxton Hall sell out in twenty minutes and last summer supporting the likes of Foster the People and Fenech Soler – BASTILLE are definitely ones to look out for in 2012. Dan and his band will be heading out on an exclusive headline run this April, with appearances at Camden Crawl, Dot To Dot and many other festivals set for this summer.
Bastille is the musical guise of uber talented singer/songwriter and producer Dan Smith; a vehicle for his different musical worlds, full of songs with danceable rhythms and beautiful soaring vocals encased in harmonies and bleeps. He is joined by three other members for their unique and spine tingling live performances which already sell out in an instance.
An avid fan of cult films, Dan has uploaded an eclectic mixtape; a soundtrack to an imaginary movie. Bastille’s own music mixed with re-recordings of classic tracks like Rose Royce’s ‘Love Don’t Live Here Anymore’ and the soundtrack of ‘Requiem for a Dream’ with Lana Del Rey’s ‘Blue Jeans’.
