Madonna Set To Make Chart History On Sunday

Madonna is set to make chart history on Sunday when she overtakes Elvis Presley with the most UK No.1 albums ever by a solo act.

‘MDNA’—which was released Monday on Interscope – is on course to be Madonna’s 12th No.1 album to date; one more than Elvis and another amazing achievement for the UK’s biggest ever selling female artist. Only The Beatles with 15 number ones have topped the chart more times.

Pre-orders for the album on iTunes took it to No.1 in 50 countries – the largest one day pre-order in iTunes history and the reviews have been celebratory with The Times trumpeting “there can only be one queen of pop” and the NME calling it “a ridiculously enjoyable romp”

The raunchy, relentlessly talked about video for ‘Girl Gone Wild’ has sent the blogosphere into overdrive. Check it out here <link>
