Soundgarden Release New Track For The Avengers Movie

Soundgarden have unveiled a clip of a brand new song – the first new material from them in 15 years!! Titled 'Live to Rise', the track will head up the official soundtrack for Marvel's new Avengers movie – coming to cinemas in the UK from April 26th.

The band are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to their new studio album – the band spoke of the new song –

“We've been hard at work on our new album, which will come out this Fall. When the opportunity arose to write an original song for 'Marvel's The Avengers' film, we thought it could be a cool match. We are excited to release our new song 'Live To Rise,' which is also the only new song in the film. Here's a taste. Loudest of Love.”

The band play a host of European shows and festivals from the end of May, finishing at Download Festival in Donington on June 10th. They have recently announced that they will headline the opening night of Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park on July 13th.
