Casiokids new single ‘Kaskaden’ is out today through Moshi Moshi Records following the release of their eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’. To coincide with this, you can now hear the remix by Ben Butler & Mousepad and watch the video below! The band have also added a date at the Camden Barfly on June 27th.
Already a live favourite, ‘Kaskaden’ is four minutes of bubbling synths and the dynamic percussion which Casiokids have become known for, and the Ben Butler & Mousepad remix strips the track back to these core elements creating a twitchy, bouncy slice of electronica.
The band also teamed up with Finnish-Colombian-Norwegian collective Blank Blank and Dutch contemporary dancer Marjolein Vogels, to create a film-intro style dance piece to accompany the single. Inspired by old Kung Fu film intros, 80s hollywood productions and local Norwegian films they ended up with the Concept 'Utfall!' which loosely translated means attack, outcome, result.
Hailing from the celebrated music scene in Bergen, Norway – Casiokids have spent the last 12 months playing shows across North America, Europe, Mexico, Japan and Russia including being hand-picked by fellow Norwegians a-ha to support them on their last tour.
