David Lynch Premiers Self Directed Video

David Lynch will debut his self directed video for “Crazy Clown Time”, the title track from his first-ever solo album, exclusively on the Noisey Youtube channel, Monday, April 2.

Lynch describes the setting for the video as “an intense psychotic backyard craziness, fueled by beer” and Film Comment calls the track “Crazy Clown Time” “a giddy, half-told story of a party gone awry and women with torn shirts.” The premiere of “Crazy Clown Time” marks the latest from the Noisey YouTube channel's ever expanding presence as a world-leading online music destination. The channel made its debut in February with M.I.A.'s “Bad Girls,” and VICE-produced A$AP Rocky video, “Wassup.”

Recorded over a year at his own studio with engineer Dean Hurley (who also contributes guitar and drums), “Crazy Clown Time” unveils a majestic, yet powerfully idiosyncratic vision of “modern blues” that could only be drawn from the mind of David Lynch. Filled with foreboding soundscapes, hypnotic rhythms and enigmatic lyrics, this is music that will resonate not only with fans of Lynch’s films, but also to listeners who appreciate daring, experimental music.

“Crazy Clown Time” was released November 7th on Sunday Best Recordings. NME calls “Crazy Clown Time” “Brave, challenging and a little bit sick.” Artrocker says the 14-song album is “Filled with electrifying soundscapes and a thirst to experiment” and The Guardian says the record is “as deliciously off-kilter as you might expect”. Earlier this year a special Super Deluxe Edition of “Crazy Clown Time” designed by Vaughan Oliver was released by Sunday Best Recordings. For more information please go to link.
