Holograms seem to be the in thing in music this week. After Tupac we could see a computer generated Michael Jackson touring once more. Where will it all end? I suppose Simon Cowell could do a special version of a show: Britain’s Got Holograms perhaps?
Meanwhile back in the world of real live musicians, I hope you all supported your local independent record store on Saturday for Record Store Day. Vinyl is making something of a minor comeback and there were a lot of special releases available for that one day.
Jack White’s Blunderbuss hits the stores today and is probably the most talked about album release for a while. But will it be enough to remove Adele from the number one spot? Also out today are new albums from the Dandy Warhols and Ed Vallance’s Volcano, which is reviewed on Glasswerk. There doesn’t seem to be too much going on in the singles market though with just a small number of new ones this week.
We will have all of the latest tour news, festival announcements, videos and everything else you need right here over the next week. I also have a few interviews lined up for your enjoyment too.
